Monthly Reflections – March

This month has been a hectic one, I can’t believe that it has been a whole month since I last sat down to right a monthly reflection. I’ve put my car up for sale and started looking at motorbikes I might like to replace it with, I’ve said farewell to friends who are moving overseas, I’ve helped with wedding planning as Maid of Honour, I’ve attended a hens’ party, I’ve caught up with numerous friends that I hadn’t seen in far too long, my partner landed his first full time job and now it’s Easter and I’m going camping! I feel like the blog has been a little neglected over the past four weeks so I’m looking forward to getting back in the swing of things and creating some kind of routine as life calms down again.

Highlights and Lowlights:

Highlights… how busy it has been. Lowlights… how busy it’s been.

It’s crazy how the same thing can make both the highlight and the lowlight of the month but it really is true. I’ve loved every minute of this crazy, hectic, non-stop month but it’s also been terrible for my health and it’s starting to show. Rest days (or hours) have been vital to keeping going and Ultra Power Saver Mode has been in full force.  Basically, my partner has been a lifesaver. From carrying me up the stairs when my legs just won’t work anymore to getting up at a ridiculous hour every morning to make me lunch. He’s there every single day cheering me on and making this almost normal (from the outside) life of mine possible.

Goal Progress:

Nil.

Okay, that was a bit negative but it’s kinda not wrong. The blog hasn’t been the only thing that’s suffered this month.

Dance is going okay I suppose, though it’s hard to progress when you are sick and in bed… And although I haven’t been out walking with the intention of walking, I’ve still managed a lot of exercise in other ways this month.

Yoga and flute are still in the too hard basket, I haven’t had a whole lot of time to work out what it is that’s stopping me from making these most of these… I’d like to say I’m planning on focussing on these for April, but let’s just see how it plays out.

Learning dutch is going… slowly… but it’s going.

3 Things I’ve Learnt:

  1. Make the most of your friends while they’re around, they might not live in the same city forever.
  2. Rest days are everything.
  3. Just keep going.
