This week’s prompt calls for three characteristics you’d wish for in a friend. Or maybe three friends…?Here goes:
Both ways. The ability to trust them and the knowledge of their trust in me. Trust means being able to share whatever is on your mind, it means knowing they won’t judge you and it gives you the ability to clear your mind and share in your happiness and sorrows.
Knowing that if I needed them they’d drop everything to be there, as I would for them. I know all too well how important it is to have someone you can call any time, any place and they’ll be there as best they can.
Someone who can make their own fun. Regardless of the situation – someone who embraces life when it all turns sour and has fun anyway. Nothing like a wonderfully fun and entertaining friend, especially when you’re housebound…
Obviously, any number of other amazing traits could make up a beautiful friend, these are simply the top three that came to mind. I think it’s pretty important to have a variety of friends as they’ll all, no doubt, contribute to life in crazy ways you could never imagine.
